We offer legal advice to businesses and individuals who are wishing to secure intellectual property rights.
We represent a series of well-known publishing houses’ trademarks not only within the borders of Germany and Europe, but also worldwide.
We love to litigate in intellectual property law if it is in our client´s interest. Our law firm has successfully contended for the first final judgment against Deutsche Post AG, preventing Deutsche Post from monopolizing the use of the word “post”.
In 1995, we have started offering legal support in the areas of restitution law; more recently we have also added ”art restitution“ to our range of legal services. By participating in several nationally regarded restitution law suits, for example representing the heirs of the late Louis London against the City of Strausberg and other law suits, we have been trying to counteract the weakening of the restitution law promoted by Brandenburg’s state government and its cities.
In the Marianne Golz-Goldlust case, we supported the enactment of the NS-verdict annullment law (August 25th, 1998, BGBl. I S.2501). An appeal pursuant to this new law has led to the annulment of the death sentence against Mrs. Golz-Goldlust by a Nazi court in Prague – unfortunately more than fifty years post mortem.
